Description
The easiest Slow Cooker Whole Chicken! Crock pot Rotisserie chicken is easier than you think and this crock pot whole chicken literally falls off the bone.

- 1 whole chicken (4–6 lbs)
- 2 onions
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper
Instructions
- Step: Peel and slice 2 onions into large, thick slices and place them in an even layer at the bottom of the crock pot.
- Step: Place 1 whole chicken (4โ6 lbs) in the crock pot on top of the onions, breast side up. Use a basting brush to rub 2 tablespoons olive oil all over the skin of the chicken.
- Step: In a small bowl, mix together ยฝ teaspoon paprika, 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning, ยผ teaspoon garlic powder, 1 teaspoon salt, and 1 teaspoon pepper.
- Step: Sprinkle the seasoning mixture evenly over the chicken and use the basting brush to spread the oil and seasonings across the surface of the chicken.
- Step: Cover and cook on low for 4โ6 hours or on high for 2โ3 hours.
- Step: Make sure the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165ยฐF. Carefully remove the chicken from the crock pot.
- Step: Let the chicken rest for 5โ10 minutes, then slice and serve.
Notes
If you want to have crispy skin like you get with roasted chicken, place the chicken in a baking dish or cookie sheet and broil for 4-5 minutes. Just keep an eye on it so it doesnโt burn!
