Description

A warm and comforting creamy chicken dish made easy in a slow cooker, perfect for stress-free weeknight dinners.


Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breasts
  • 2 tbsp Vegetable Oil
  • 4 oz Cream Cheese
  • 3 tbsp Unsalted Butter
  • 10.5 oz Cream of Chicken Soup
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 0.75 cup Chicken Broth
  • 1 packet Dry Italian Salad Dressing Mix
  • 16 oz Angel Hair Pasta
  • Chopped Fresh Parsley
  • Cracked Pepper, to taste
  • Grated Parmesan Cheese

Instructions

  1. Preparation: Lightly coat the bottom of your crock pot with vegetable oil and place the boneless, skinless chicken breasts inside.
  2. Mixing the Sauce: In a medium bowl, whisk together the cream cheese, cream of chicken soup, butter, minced garlic, and chicken broth until smooth.
  3. Cooking: Stir in the dry Italian dressing mix, pour the mixture over the chicken in the slow cooker, cover and cook on low for 4 hours.
  4. Preparing the Pasta: About 15 minutes before the cooking time is complete, boil the angel hair pasta in salted water according to package instructions, then drain.
  5. Combining and Garnishing: Shred the chicken using two forks, mix it back into the sauce, serve over the prepared pasta, and top with chopped parsley and grated parmesan.

Notes

Cooking on low heat allows the chicken to become tender and absorb the flavors better. Feel free to add extra herbs or spices for a kick.
