Description
These Slow Cooked Steak Bites with Miso Maple Glaze are incredibly tender and flavorful, combining umami-rich miso with sweet maple syrup. The slow cooker creates melt-in-your-mouth steak perfect for any occasion.

- 450g (1 lb) Beef Sirloin, cubed
- 15ml (1 Tbsp) Olive Oil
- 30g (2 Tbsp) White Miso Paste
- 30ml (2 Tbsp) Maple Syrup
- 15ml (1 Tbsp) Low-Sodium Soy Sauce
- 10g (2 tsp) Fresh Ginger, grated
- 2 Cloves Garlic, minced
- 0.5 tsp Black Pepper
- 0.25 tsp Sea Salt
- 1 Tbsp (8g) Toasted Sesame Seeds
- 1 Tbsp (5g) Cilantro, chopped
- Optional: 2 Tbsp (30ml) Water
Instructions
- Prepare Marinade: Combine oil, miso, maple syrup, soy sauce, ginger, garlic, pepper, and salt.
- Marinate Steak: Toss steak cubes in marinade for 20-30 minutes.
- Slow Cook: Transfer steak and marinade to slow cooker; cook on low for 4-5 hours.
- Preheat Broiler: Preheat broiler to high.
- Broil Steak: Spread steak on baking sheet and broil for 3-5 minutes.
- Reduce Glaze: Simmer remaining glaze until thickened (optional).
- Plate & Garnish: Drizzle with glaze, sprinkle with sesame seeds and cilantro.
- Serve: Serve immediately.
Notes
For a richer glaze, reduce the remaining sauce from the slow cooker. Adjust marinade sweetness/saltiness to your preference.
