Description

These Crockpot Steak Bites with Miso Garlic Butter Glaze are a simple and flavorful weeknight meal. Tender steak is infused with a savory-sweet miso garlic butter sauce, all made in the slow cooker.


Ingredients

  • 1 kg (2 lb 4 oz) Beef Sirloin, cut into 2 cm (ยพ inch) cubes
  • 2 tbsp (30 ml) Low-Sodium Soy Sauce
  • 1 tbsp (15 ml) White Miso Paste
  • 2 tsp (10 ml) Honey
  • 2 tsp (10 ml) Rice Vinegar
  • 2 cloves Garlic, Minced
  • 1 tsp (5 g) Fresh Ginger, Grated
  • ยฝ tsp (1 g) Smoked Paprika
  • ยฝ cup (120 ml) Halal-Certified Beef Broth
  • 3 tbsp (45 g) Unsalted Butter, cut into pieces
  • 1 tsp (1 g) Fresh Thyme Leaves
  • 1 tsp (1 g) Fresh Rosemary, Minced
  • Pinch of Salt and Freshly Ground Black Pepper
  • 1 tbsp (9 g) Toasted Sesame Seeds
  • 2 tbsp (6 g) Scallion Greens, Finely Chopped
  • 1 tsp (5 ml) Extra-Virgin Olive Oil

Instructions

  1. Prepare Miso Marinade: Whisk together soy sauce, miso paste, honey, rice vinegar, garlic, ginger, and paprika.
  2. Marinate Steak: Toss steak cubes with marinade; refrigerate for 15-120 minutes.
  3. Combine & Cook: Transfer steak to crockpot with beef broth; cook on LOW for 6-8 hours or HIGH for 3-4 hours.
  4. Make Brown Butter Glaze: Melt butter in a saucepan until browned; add thyme, rosemary, salt, and pepper.
  5. Glaze & Serve: Toss cooked steak with warm glaze.
  6. Garnish & Plate: Drizzle with olive oil; sprinkle with sesame seeds and scallions.

Notes

Cutting the steak against the grain and avoiding overcooking will result in the most tender bites. Marinating for longer enhances flavor and tenderness.
